Our dream is for Chinandega, Nicaragua to become a bright spot in the world.
A bright spot is something that stands out in the midst of challenging circumstances. Chinandega is already a bright spot in many ways – full of resilience, family values, and untapped potential. We want to help it shine even brighter.
Our 4 Big Goals for 2026 ‐ 2028
Goal 1 - Community Development
Transform 60 rural communities through community-led development, building essential infrastructure, and empowering sustainable habit change.
- Clean water for 14,775 more people
- Coach 8,500 people in a 7-year model to achieve leadership, sanitation and disease prevention, education, and increased income.
Goal 2 - Youth Development
Equip and inspire 2,500 young Nicaraguans, ages 3-24, through access to quality academics, extracurriculars, career preparation, and spiritual growth.
- Expansion of our Amigos Academy to offer 7th, 8th, and 9th grade
- Expansion of our Youth Center for high school and university students
Goal 3 - Small Business Development
Facilitate the growth of 300 small businesses to create or sustain 600 jobs which will have an economic impact of $2,000,000 in rural communities.
- Expansion of Granja Amigos to serve more pork production farmers
- Seed capital for 300 small business owners to build their businesses
- Expansion of our value-add production plant to provide farmers with stable pricing for their produce
Goal 4 - Mission Trips & Sharing Our Model
Open our doors year-round to facilitate world-class international and local service experiences, as well as coaching and training opportunities to share our model and learnings with other organizations.
- Welcome 2,100 international & 2,100 Nicaraguan volunteers on mission trips
- 3,750 life-changing surgeries
- Share our model and learnings through Juntos Global
